This award truly serves as a big deal to CAME and small businesses nationwide. The SBCA 2009 Award Program recognizes the top five percent of small businesses throughout the country. Using consumer feedback, the SBCA identifies companies that they believe have demonstrated what makes small businesses a vital part of the American economy. The selection committee chooses the award winners from nominees based off information taken from monthly surveys administered by the SBCA, a review of consumer rankings, and other consumer reports. Award winners are a valuable asset to their community and exemplify what makes small businesses great. “Winning this award on the heels of unveiling our new, two-story, 29,800-square-foot, state-of-the-art headquarters and distribution center further complements our decision to expand into new markets,” says Winslow Wise, CAME Managing Director. In following CAME’s contemporary product design and highest safety standards, the new North American headquarters serves as the distribution center responding to the growing needs of the entire North American market from Canada to Latin America. Further, local product development and engineering capabilities have been implemented within the new building; thus adaptation of products and features to domestic requirements. As evidence of gearing up to become a major player in the U.S. access control market, CAME recently secured several UL approvals for many of their new barrier gate products. This status further enhances the global brand’s well-consolidated position in North and Latin American markets. CAME Americas is a U.S. based company that has global roots. CAME Cancelli Automatici was established in Treviso, Italy more than 35 years ago with a focus on automation systems for gates, access control systems, automatic doors and road barriers. Over time, the company evolved into the CAME Group and now also manufacturers URBACO bollards, used for managing traffic flow in and around urban spaces and produces tubular motors for shades, awnings and Venetian blinds under the Jolly Motor name. CAME set up the CAME Americas shop near Miami in February 2007. Today CAME operates in the automation industry with 13 branches and over 350 distributors around the world.
